Dr. Naomi Sugunasingha is a Licensed Clinical Psychologist who trained in the United Kingdom. Her primary area of clinical interest and expertise is supporting people to process and manage experiences of trauma (including sexual violence and childhood abuse). Naomi also has experience supporting people struggling with anxiety, low mood, managing difficult emotions, and substance misuse.

Naomi has a trauma-informed, integrative, and person-centered treatment approach. She draws from a variety of models (including cognitive-behavioral, systemic, and compassion focused) to tailor interventions to meet the needs of her clients. Naomi seeks to better understand her clients from a holistic perspective and considers the way that different parts of our identities intersect; she believes that individual difficulties are hugely influenced by our environment and experiences.

Naomi is committed to racial and social justice issues in her work and personal life, and she seeks to ensure that there is equitable access to quality healthcare across different populations and communities.

In her free time Naomi enjoys traveling, running, and cuddling her cat!
