April Burling is a fourth-year student at the University of Indianapolis. She is currently pursuing her Doctorate in Clinical Psychology, and she has already earned her Master of Arts in Clinical Psychology from U Indy.
April was born and raised in metro Detroit, Michigan. She attended Michigan State University (Go Green!) for her bachelor's degree in psychology, with a minor in youth and society.
April enjoys working with individuals of all ages, but she primarily enjoys emerging and young adults (ages 18-30).
April's clinical areas of interest include body image concerns, grief/loss, adjustment difficulties, interpersonal concerns, and depression.
In her free time, April likes to lift weights, attend Pilates classes, go for walks, and read books--usually a psychological thriller.
As one of MMH's practicum students, April offers reduced-cost services under the direct supervision of licensed psychologists (including Drs. Beckwith, Boer, Johnson, and McKinney).
