Celeste Johnson is currently a third-year PsyD Clinical Psychology student at the University of Indianapolis. She received her undergraduate degree from the University of South Carolina in her home state, where she graduated with a BA in Experimental Psychology and a minor in Counseling. Aside from her undergraduate degree, she also holds a master's degree in Clinical Psychology from UINDY. Her clinical areas of interest include the treatment of couples, families, and personality disorders. Celeste has worked with a diverse clientele providing individual therapy for clients presenting with adjustment issues, anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, ADHD, trauma, and gender dysphoria. Celeste's clinical work is integrated but emphasizes a humanistic and interpersonal approach.
Celeste serves as a Marketing Coordinator for ColumbiaSC63: Our Story Matters, an educational organization dedicated to civil rights history, and as Treasurer of the Association of Black Psychologists (ABPsi), UINDY Student Circle. As a UINDY's College of Applied Behavioral Sciences Student Diversity Committee member, she enjoys collaborating with faculty and other students.
There are several activities Celeste enjoys taking part in, such as cooking with her partner, playing with her dog "Kid", playing board games, and reading mystery novels.
Celeste is supervised by Dr. Brianna Johnson for therapy and by Dr. Amanda McKinney for psychological testing.
