MMH is a nonprofit mental health group in West Lafayette, Indiana. We pride ourselves in being a modern, casual, and accessible practice centered around providing quality, sustainable, and confidential care. We want you to be comfortable. We will listen, validate, reflect, and even laugh with you, all while helping you make adjustments and improvements in your life and toward your goals. Each of our clinicians has different age ranges they work with, areas of expertise, and approaches to treatment. Melissa Anderson, MA, LMHC

Melissa Anderson is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) who provides individual therapy to teens and adults. She works with anxiety, trauma, personality disorders, relational issues, self-esteem issues, and stress management.

Luis Balcazar is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who works with individuals age 12 and up. He primarily works with depression, anxiety, anger, identity development issues (racial, gender, sexual orientation), and other diversity factors (spirituality, fat liberation).

Dr. Julie Beckwith is a Licensed Clinical Psychologist who works with adults for individual therapy and psychological assessment. Her work mainly focuses on relationships with self and others, trauma, disordered eating, body image, and identity development.

Dr. Courtney Benefiel is a clinical psychologist who provides assessment and therapy services to adults (ages 18+). Her clinical interests include relationship concerns, trauma, attachment, depression, and anxiety, as well as psychological evaluations for ADHD, ASD, OCD, learning disorders, and more.

Dr. Amanda McKinney is a Licensed Clinical Psychologist and founded MMH in 2019. Most of her clinical work involves psychological assessment/testing, as well as a small therapy caseload specializing in LGBTQ+ issues, especially exploration of sexual and gender identity.

Pepita - Dr. Petey Puppins

Pepita is a therapy dog in-training who sometimes sits in on therapy sessions to offer cuddles and support. Most often, she sleeps under the desk while her mom works. She is a mini goldendoodle who does not shed and is hypoallergenic.

Tricia Emery has worked in the mental health field for 9 years as a support staff member. She is a graduate of Purdue University. She keeps our office running by answering phones and emails, scheduling clients, and helping out with billing.
